LAS PUERTAS RETORCIDAS
CAPÍTULO DIECINUEVE 19
Click the little player or the tombstone to hear the mystery!
« Dios mío, Enrique. Mira a nuestro alrededor.
¡Estamos en un cementerio! ».
El viento continúa silbando: « Enrique... Enrique... ».
Hay tumbas por todos lados. Hay lápidas
de todos los tamaños, de todo tipo.
« ¿Qué significa este
cementerio? », dice Enrique
con un aire preocupado.
« No me gusta. Quiero regresar », dice como un niño
consentido.
« ¿Quieres regresar? No me hagas reír, Enrique.
¿Adónde quieres regresar
exactamente? ».
« Yo no sé, pero... ».
« Oh, cállate. Tú sabes muy bien que… ».
Interrumpo mi respuesta, porque de
inmediato, mi vista
es atraída por una lápida que no es como las
otras.
En efecto, su epitafio es bastante
curioso, como
se puede ver por la siguiente
inscripción:
Él
no esperó
que
la puerta retorcida
se abriera sola
¡Peor para él! Se quedará
aquí para siempre
Nos miramos. ¿Qué significa eso?
¿Quién no esperó?
« My goodness, Enrique. Look around us.
We are in a cemetery! »
The wind continues whistling, « Enrique ... Enrique ... »
There are tombs everywhere. There are tombstones
of all sizes, of all sorts.
« What's this
cemetery? » says Enrique
with a worried look.
« I don’t like (it). I want to go back, » he says like a
spoiled child.
« You want to go back? Don’t make me laugh, Enrique.
Where do you want to go back to,
exactly? »
« I don’t know but ... »
« Oh, be quiet. You know very well that ... »
I cut short my reply because my eyes are immediately
attracted to a tombstone that is not like the
others.
Indeed, its epitaph is quite curious as
can
be witnessed by the following inscription:
He did not wait
for
the twisted door
to open by itself
Too
bad for him! He will stay
here forever
We look at each other. What does that mean?
Who did not wait?
